Government Assistance Schemes

There are a number of schemes available – such as

First Home Owners Grant

This is a $7,000 grant to people buying their first home. This applies all over Australia – see the following link www.firsthome.gov.au

Stamp duty Concessions

These are exemptions or reductions in the amount of stamp duty you are required to pay if you are buying a first home.

Some of these concessions ARE SUBSTANTIAL.
